In my paintings the human being is a sort of fingerprint, an anonymous presence that fills stubborn geometries arbitrarily imposed, following unique paths. The landscape is not just a background where human actions happen but a sort of net that traps in multiple layers both the human presence as well as fragments of architecture. The city is seen as a discourse of objects and subjects. Since 1999 I've been working on the idea of the city as a palimpsest of the memory. The windows and doors of architecture are considered as the eyes and pores through which architecture breathes, sees, grows and talks like a living entity that changes its color and texture over time.
